Charry Morris


As a 10 year professional soccer player, Charry began doing yoga as a cross-training tool in college in 1991. In 1999, after seeing all the benefits of yoga on her own body and mind, Charry started teaching. In 2006, Charry met Sri Andrei Ram Om and began her yoga studies in earnest. She shares the teachings from the lineage of Sri Dharma Mittra with sincerity and devotion. Charry’s dharma path led her to Yoga Chikitsa (then Beach Mat Yoga) when she first moved to Dallas in 2015. She is happy to serve.

Charry’s classes are easy going in nature. There is a fluidity and quietness about them. There is also laughter and joy. Through deep listening and intuitive inquiry, the poses, the breathing, and the concentration exercises, in specific combination, bring the student toward their center- the still point. The instructions are very simple. The work is very revealing. If you are interested in reflection and, ultimately, Self-Realization, you will enjoy the classes.

When not on the mat/cushion, Charry is busy coaching soccer, carting kids around to soccer, catching up with friends, traveling, and enjoying the simple things in life, like laughter and hugs.
