Co-owner of Studio
Rachel has been practicing yoga for about 10 years now. It started out as a way to alleviate her chronic back pain from years in the dental field, but it quickly developed into so much more than that.
Yoga has become a haven for Rachel – a place to find balance and peace of mind in both her practice and in life. Rachel is committed to sharing that with others.
She believes that we live in such a fast-paced world and rarely slow down, and so she has chosen to focus primarily on the slower, more restorative practices. She is passionate about yoga philosophy and how it’s shaped her life. Rachel has completed her 500 hour teacher training contact hours and is currently completing her written project on yoga philosophy in order to be officially 500 hour certified.
Rachel became a part of the Yoga Chikitsa community summer of 2018. With plans to some day start her own studio, her goals changed as she fell in love with the community at Yoga Chikitsa, quickly finding it to be her “yoga home.” When she was recently invited to become partners with Katherine Galligan, overseeing operations of the yoga studio, it couldn’t have felt like a more perfect fit! So excited to serve this community and continue to learn from her students, Rachel plans stay at Yoga Chikitsa as her “forever home.”
